In technical terms this is a custom MCP server: the standard way AI assistants such as Claude connect to other software. You do not need to know how it works to use it.

A typical use.
Weekly cash review: the AI summarizes balances by currency, lists incoming and outgoing transactions since last week, and shows today’s rates for the conversions you usually make. Nothing is transferred without a person approving it.

Does Airwallex already have an MCP server?
Yes, Airwallex publishes its own. We set it up for your team, and add what it does not do: your own steps, approval rules, and your other systems in the same conversation.
Can the AI send money?
Only if you allow it. By default it can only look, and any payment needs a person to approve it.
